Afternoon top-up

Sets up an easier night. One glass, done early.
Use this when
Every afternoon, around 2 to 5pm, as your last big glass of water before evening.
After this
Most people notice fewer bathroom trips overnight and a more settled night’s sleep.
You will need
A full glass of water.
The why
Water drunk close to bedtime adds to the urine volume your kidneys produce right when the sleep hormone vasopressin should be telling them to hold fluid back. Moving your hydration earlier avoids that clash.
Note
If you manage a condition that requires fluid restriction (kidney disease, heart failure), check with your doctor before shifting your hydration timing.
