Cold face splash

Switches your alertness on. Anywhere, in 30 seconds.
Use this when
When tiredness hits and you don't have time for a shower. Mid-afternoon, between meetings, or any moment when you need to be sharp immediately.
After this
Most people notice an immediate increase in alertness within seconds. The effect is sharp and clear, not jittery.
You will need
A sink with cold water.
The why
Cold water on the face activates the trigeminal nerve and triggers a brief sympathetic surge, prompting the release of noradrenaline, the neurochemical behind alertness and focus. The face has a higher density of cold receptors than almost any other body surface, making facial cold exposure one of the fastest ways to activate this response. The Cold Face Test, used in clinical research for decades, confirms this mechanism reliably.
Note
Not recommended if you have a heart condition. Cold facial exposure can briefly alter heart rate.
